Dr. Cathy Rahimi
DVM and Owner
Dr. Rahimi cares for all kinds of animals, including cats, dogs, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils. She also sees the occasional iguana, snake, and hedgehog! Each species presents its unique series of issues.
Along with providing preventive and medical care, Dr. Rahimi enjoys performing routine and not so routine Laser Surgery. Tthe therapeutic laser greatly enhances Blackberry's ability to provide a non-invasive, comforting method of pain relief and wound healing to all of her patients regardless of species.
When Dr. Rahimi is not here in the clinic, you might find her spending time with her daughter competing at horse shows across the country or enjoying a leisurely horseback ride on some dusty road or trail in our beautiful, Minnesota countryside. Dr. Rahimi also can be found on the sidelines cheering at her children’s basketball games, football games, and triathalons. She and her husband love attending the theatre and Vikings football games.
Dr. Chelsea Lohmer
DVM , cVMA
Dr. Lohmer graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and may be a familiar face to some, as she worked at Blackberry during her veterinary training. In addition to her DVM, Dr. Lohmer is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist.
Prior to this, Dr. Lohmer worked with professional athletes on a mission to fight childhood obesity through exercise and nutrition programs. However, her lifelong passion for animals, science, and medicine persuaded her to the veterinary industry and she never looked back!
While every patient has a special place, she loves helping sick pets regain their health to enjoy life with their families again. Outside of work, Dr. Lohmer enjoys spending time with her husband and family; exploring the world; horseback riding with her horse, Max; doting on her tortoiseshell cat, Penzey; practicing archery; and hitting the beautiful state parks for trail runs.
